Mojang has released Minecraft v1.7.6, which is the next major update before 1.8.
Important notes:
- Minecraft v.1.7.6 is not compatible with v1.7.5
- Server modes (online/offline) are not compatible with each other and cannot be switched once the server has been started for the first time.
