Blockshop Premium Pack - Hide and Seek
Hide and seek

Hide and Seek is a fun PVP mini-game where hiders are disguised as normal-looking blocks in an arena and the seekers must find them.

This pack comes pre-configured with two arenas. The smaller one is good for up to 5 players, and the larger one can handle 13, but your server will need more than 512MB.

Server Requirements

Minimum Server Memory: 512 MB
Minimum Disk Space: 500 MB

When you activate this pack, all of the required server settings are configured automatically for you. All you need to do is join the server and play!

Client Requirements

Minecraft Java version 1.14.4.

/op has been DISABLED for all of our mini-game packs.  Someone will inevitably give op to their friend, who ops their friend, and next thing you know spawn is full of TNT and we are asked to restore the server from backups.

/gamemode has been forced to ADVENTURE on purpose!  In order to keep the memory requirements as low as possible, this pack does not include WorldEdit or WorldGuard. Forcing all players into adventure mode is easiest way to protect spawn and the arenas without a plugin, so make sure you put yourself back in adventure gamemode if you have been in creative mode.

You DO NOT NEED op permissions to be an admin on your own server! Instead, from the Multicraft Control Panel, click on Console, then make yourself an admin with the following command:

lp user YOURPLAYERNAME parent set admin

Where YOURPLAYERNAME is the name of your Minecraft player in-game. (DO NOT use a leading / in the console!) You will then have all the permissions you need to configure Hide and Seek and Title Manager from in-game, as well as put yourself in creative mode so you can edit the arenas. Use /has admin for help on the admin functions of Hide and Seek

** This is a Premium, paid plugin. Since we are not allowed to distribute it, the plugin will not be downloadable via FTP. You can still alter the configuration files, but you will not have access to the plugin .jar file itself.

Everything is already configured for you, but there are many options you can change in-game. Watch this video for more information:

Modifying the Arenas

You cannot edit the arenas in creative mode while a game has started!  To make changes to the arenas, make sure the game has ended, then put yourself in creative mode with /gamemode creative. You must first make yourself admin by following the instructions above! The arenas are located near spawn, so they are easy to find if you fly around in creative mode.

There are invisible barriers around the arenas to prevent players from escaping. If you want to see where they are, give yourself one and hold it in your hand. The command is:

give YOURPLAYERNAME minecraft:barrier

Player Instructions

Join the server with your friends and click on one of the Arena signs:
kb1

You'll be taken to a waiting area where other players will join you. Once the timer runs out, you will either become a Hider or a Seeker.

Hiders will have a few seconds to hide somewhere before the Seekers will join and start hunting the Hiders. Some game play mechanics:

  • Once a Hider stops moving, they will become a solid block, but they can still shoot the Seekers.
  • If a hider is a solid block, they cannot be damaged by arrows, and the arrow will appear to go straight through the block.
    • This allows the seeker to find the hider.
  • If a seeker hits a hider with a sword, axe, or potion, the hider will no longer be a solid block and can be damaged.
  • There are powerup spawn points configured in each arena.  Every 60 seconds a new, random powerup will appear, but only the hiders can use them!
  • TNT ONLY HURTS THE SEEKER!

You earn coins just by playing, and get bonus coins when you and/or your team wins. You can use those coins in-game to purchase upgrade perks like throwable TNT, disguise selection, increase or decrease the chance that you'll become a Hider, etc. Watch the following video for more information:
