Blockshop Premium Pack - Factions
Factions is a fun Minecraft game mode where you can band together in factions, claim land, build your base, forge alliances or declare war on other factions. PVP and raiding are usually large parts of active Factions servers.
This pack comes complete and ready to play! We've included 42 pre-configured plugins that will allow for fair and fun gameplay, but with minimal server administrative requirements. There are several NPC's (non-player characters) in the spawn area you can interact with for various features:
We've also included an easy to use Server Control GUI to get you started. You can access it with an owner-only warp.
Some anti-cheat features are included in this pack to ensure fair gameplay for everyone. Anti-Xray is enabled, and we've added Matrix anti-cheat, which does an awesome job blocking almost all of the common, game-breaking hacks.
Server Requirements
Minimum Server Memory: 1024 MB
Minimum Disk Space: 500 MB
When you activate this pack, all of the required server settings are configured automatically for you. All you need to do is join the server and play! When your server starts growing and you have lots of players, you'll need to upgrade the server's memory.
When this pack is purchased, the server memory will automatically be upgraded to the minimum requirement of 1GB. You must keep the server's memory upgraded or this pack will quickly run out of memory and crash, possibly corrupting your world in the process.
Client Requirements
Minecraft Java version 1.8 through version 1.14.4. The server runs on version 1.8.8, so that is the recommended version to use for fastest game play.

This plugin is used to create all the interactive GUI menus.
This MOD pack is auto-updated, all you have to do is restart the server.
Virtual Gladiators updates plugins like ViaVersion to ensure new client versions can connect. We do NOT change the version of PaperSpigot that is running, as that would cause older plugins to stop working. We also do not change or delete any plugins you've installed that were not part of this pack to begin with.
On restart, MOD plugins that need updating will be updated automatically. Only the .jar files will be updated! No configuration files, worlds, or player data will be touched!
If you don't want this MOD pack automatically updated, simply delete AUTO_UPDATE.txt from the main folder of your server using FTP. You will then be responsible for updating the MOD pack yourself. In particular, when a new version of Minecraft is released, you MUST update ViaVersion or players will not be able to connect!
If you install additional plugins, they MUST be for version 1.8.8, as that is the version of PaperSpigot used for this MOD pack. (Minecraft v1.8.8 runs about 7 times faster than v1.14.x)
/op has been DISABLED for all of our pre-made server packs. Someone will inevitably give op to their friend, who ops their friend, and next thing you know spawn is full of TNT and we are asked to restore the server from backups.
You DO NOT NEED op permissions to be an admin on your own server! Instead, from the Multicraft Control Panel, click on Console, then make yourself an admin/owner with the following command:
pex user YOURPLAYERNAME group set owner
Where YOURPLAYERNAME is the name of your Minecraft player in-game. (DO NOT use a leading / in the console!) You will then have all the permissions you need to configure almost all plugins from in-game, as well as put yourself in creative mode so you can edit the spawn area.
Everything is already configured for you, but there are many options you can change. Check the Factions Wiki page for more information about all of the options.
This pack uses Premium, paid plugins. Since we are not allowed to distribute them, the plugins will not be visible or downloadable via FTP. You can still alter the configuration files, but you will not have access to the plugin .jar files themselves.
Lastly, please note that Anti-Xray has been enabled for this server pack. That means most of the precious ores in the ground will not be visible to players cheating with an xray mod. We've configured anti-xray with the most conservative settings to ensure the best performance, but some items and ores will still be visible with an xray mod. You can increase the settings to where it randomizes all items in the anti-xray list, but the server performance will likely be affected.
Modifying Factions Spawn
To modify the Factions Spawn area, put yourself in creative mode with /gamemode creative. You must first make yourself admin by following the instructions above!
Mob spawning has been disabled in the Factions Spawn region. If you want to add more villagers or animals, you must first enter the command /region flag spawn mob-spawning allow while in the Factions Spawn area. When you're done, make sure you turn mob-spawning off or your spawn will be crawling with unwanted mobs as soon as the sun goes down: Use the command /region flag spawn mob-spawning deny to disable mob spawning again.
Player Instructions
Join the server and you'll spawn in a safe zone with a starter kit of items and $250 in your account. Walk forward a bit and interact with the NPC's for more information. We suggest starting with the Guide NPC.
If you continue walking forward, you will be at the edge of the safe zone. If you walk over the edge here, you will be in the Warzone. This zone allows PVP and hostile mobs.
If you head left from the NPC area in spawn, you'll come to a portal. Walk into the portal to be teleported to a random map location so you can begin your journey in peace. You can also use the /wilderness command.
If you ever want to return to the Factions Safe Spawn Zone, just type /spawn
